Cinco de Mayo

From Thrillist:
Drink if you Dare: “Hottest Drink On Earth” @ Mercadito Cinco de Mayo
Tonight @ Mercadito; 3252 NE First Ave; Midtown; 786.369.0423

Mercadito's celebrating el Cinco by rocking your world/intestines with the Vato Loco, a drink so hot you have to sign a waiver releasing the resto from damages; it's got seven kinds of danger-zone chilies/chili powder, tequila, pineapple, and a flaming jalapeno garnish, plus comes with a milk/sugar chaser to ease the pain. They've also got a live mariachi band starting at 9pm, $5 tequila shots, and a prix fixe with tacos like beer battered mahi mahi (w/ Mexican-style coleslaw & chipotle aioli), and a dessert called piña borracha: mezcal-grilled pineapple with burned foam, something not scene since Porno for Pyros played Spring Break.
